Equine Massage of the Poconos was born out of a life long love of horses and desire to improve their well-being.

I began hunt seat lessons as a little girl and never left the barn.  Over several years, I was lucky enough to learn from my own brave and talented horses, while under the mentorship of skilled horsewomen in the heart of Bucks County. I cared for horses in hunter / jumper & dressage barns, private breeding farms, and even racing barns throughout NJ and PA.

No matter the breed, no matter the discipline, my passion has always been for the
horse and creating personalized plans to bring out the best in each individual.  It was with this in mind when I set out to learn massage techniques to use on my
own OTTB after I relocated to an area where massage therapists are hard to find. With little regulation in the industry, it can be hard to know who to trust.  Certification programs can be drastically different, but Delaware Valley University offers an immersive and detailed hands-on training program.

Certification at DVU requires 210 hours of instruction,  research in
equine anatomy and physiology, pathologies of the equine skeletal and muscle structures, saddle fitting, stretching exercises, identification of performance problems, and corrective therapies to ensure a comprehensive and individualized plan to meet each horse's needs.

I now offer these skills and services combined with decades of experience to
other horses in the greater Poconos region who may also be struggling to find
qualified bodyworkers. I truly treat and care for each and every client as if they were my own horse.

Initial Consultation: $125

Let’s discuss your horse’s history, their current performance, and any issues they are currently experiencing. I typically like to see them move in-hand or under saddle. Includes an introductory massage. Finally, we’ll craft a plan to meet your horse’s needs and help you reach your goals.

Standard Massage Session: $95

60 - 90 minute full body massage for existing clients.

Additional “In-Between” Session: $50

30-45 minute session to address a specific area of concern that needs some extra attention.

Auntie Kelly's Special: $135

Going on vacation?  Want to give your horse an extra special day of pampering?  This is my most favorite service to offer my clients who want to give their horse something more.  Includes full grooming with client provided tools as directed, 15 - 20 minute hand grazing session ( or other personal interactive time as requested), followed by 60 - 90 minute massage session with leg stretching and carrot (neck and back) stretches using selected treats.  If your horse is extra dirty or sweaty, a bath can be added for $15. I'm happy to discuss any additional customization.  Snuggles, pets, and kisses for those horses that enjoy that kind of thing are always included :)

*Additional travel fees may apply for those more than 50 miles from 18610.

Cash or Venmo Payment due at the time services are rendered.
